This waterproof walking jacket offers brilliant resistance against the elements in a lightweight design. Insulating layers and weatherproof shells that interact to give versatile warmth and protection. Zip in or zip out depending on the weather. It features a roll-away hood, brushed inner collar and a stud fastening double stormflap. There are two concealed pockets on the outside and an additional pocket on the inside. The GORE-TEX Membrane is at the heart of all GORE-TEX garments. It is completely wind and waterproof, but permeable for water vapour (perspiration). The GORE-TEX Membrane contains over 1.4 billion pores per cm2 (9 billion per square inch). These are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule. An oleophobic (oil hating) substance is then integrated to prevent contamination from things like body oils and insect repellents.
