The Astronomik Type II filters have an integral IR-Blocking coating, thereby removing the need to have a separate permanently-mounted filter. The standard set comprises R,G,B and a standard IR-Blocker. For full-spectrum imaging you can use a Tclear glass filter (no IR-Block) or an IR-Transmission filter, as this part of the spectrum is not blocked as would be the case with a permanently mounted IR-Blocker. The transmission curves of the Astronomik RGB filters are optimised for the CCD- astronomy: With these filter-set, we finally can offer filters that make colour proof pictures of all objects possible. Continuum radiators like stars and galaxies as well as objects that shine only in single lines (e.g. planetary nebulas), are reproduced in their true colours. Because of the design of the band pass of the filters, the colour sensitivity of the human eye is optimal reproduced. You get CCD- pictures, that show the object optimal in his colours, just as if you would see it, if your eye would be sensitive enough. They are designed to work with nearly all CCD sensors available on the market. With these sensors you get pictures with a very good color balance.
